ONLINE INTRODUCTORY TRAINING WORKSHOPS

This curriculum has been thoughtfully developed by Jon Frederickson of the Istdp Institute to provide a systematic approach to teaching ISTDP while placing the trainees’ unique learning needs at the forefront. As a certified trainer, I offer this training program after completing an intensive three-year course in Training of Trainers with Jon Frederickson, in addition to my eight-year Core and Advanced ISTDP training.
During the training, you will learn how to identify and help patients let go of defensive behaviors that inhibit the therapy process and prevent patients from progressing in life. Additionally, you will acquire the skills to recognize anxiety symptoms and help patients regulate them effectively. You will also learn how to identify and work through unconscious conflicts that lead to symptoms . By the third day you would be able to make a Psychodynamic formulation of cases and start working with selected cases. Moreover, you will be trained to observe and respond to every patient’s response during the session attentively. Most importantly, you will learn to recognize the patient’s attachment styles and strengthen the therapeutic relationship to deepen the therapeutic alliance.
This comprehensive ISTDP training consists of over 24 hours of training, including actual recorded therapy sessions where you will learn to identify the issues and intervene on a moment-to-moment basis. This unique training will equip you with the skills and insights necessary to become a proficient ISTDP practitioner.
